SPRK Lightning Lab is a hub where students and teachers can work with others to build Sphero robots. Teachers can track their classes in one spot and sync data between the app and website.
Online classes blend academic, cultural education
Students can learn about new cultures as they take classes in art, science, technology and language through online platform Coolcher. Classes are taught live, via videoconference, by teachers in various countries. Teachers are required to include scenarios from their culture in the coursework.
Web site offers free hands-on science activities
The Exploratorium, in San Francisco, has launched “Science Snacks,” an online library of free hands-on science activities for students in grades 6-12. Each “snack” is designed to be built with inexpensive, common materials. Activities come with instructions, suggestions and explanation of scientific theory employed.
App uses social networking to teach, learn English
English on the Go is an SNS app that lets users teach and learn English, via smartphone. Teachers post lectures from their phones. Students can access the lectures, plus post questions and answer questions from other users.
Platform lets parents manage school fees through parent portal
MMS Payment Portal is an online portal designed to simplify management of school fees. Schools can use the portal to let parents pay for tuition, lunch, and sports and activity fees.
