Top 10: Kellogg’s glitter-dusted cereal, Amazon’s packaging surcharge and Tasty-inspired ice cream

Kellogg's launch of Caticorn Cereal made with edible glitter was the most-clicked story among SmartBrief food and beverage readers this week. The limited-edition, berry-flavored cereal comes in a box emblazoned with a caticorn mascot -- a cross between a cat and a unicorn.

Kellogg also made news this week when CEO Steven Cahillane announced the company is working to drive growth by revitalizing existing brands. In grocery retail news, Amazon’s forthcoming surcharge on noncompliant CPG packaging grabbed readers’ attention, as did an interview with "Jungle" Jim Bonaminio, founder and CEO of Cincinnati's Jungle Jim's International Market. A feature on how restaurants can accommodate diners’ growing delivery needs rounded out the top five.

Nestle's launch of an ice cream line with social media food network Tasty also grabbed the spotlight this week. The company plans to expand the line to include a dozen flavors by the end of the year.
