Amanda Darman-Allen Joins SmartBrief as Chief Partnership Officer

Darman-Allen to expand SmartBrief’s portfolio of partners; strengthen association relationships; and lead Association Sales and Account Management divisions

Washington, D.C. – Amanda Darman-Allen has joined SmartBrief as Chief Partnership Officer,  the company announced today. 

In her new role, Darman-Allen will lead SmartBrief’s expansion of partnerships and development of existing association relationships. She will also manage the Association Sales and Account Management divisions.

A seasoned communications executive, Darman-Allen served as Managing Director, D.C., at Blue State, where she oversaw the growth and direction of the firm’s Washington office. She provided senior counsel for many of Blue State’s largest nonprofit and advocacy accounts and managed client relationships for organizations, including the Association of American Medical Colleges, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Booz Allen Hamilton, and AARP.

Darman-Allen started her career leading public health awareness campaigns for the Indian Health Service and the National Institutes of Health. She later moved into the nonprofit sector, driving corporate partnerships and fundraising efforts for organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. 

A native of the Washington, D.C., area, Darman-Allen graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in communications and public relations. She will report directly to CEO Rick Stamberger.
