A new British Standards Institute safety code, jointly developed by the International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP), the Health and Safety Executive, the Royal Society for the Protection of Accidents and other groups, will take effect in August. The rules include new guidance on the "recommended heights of jump towers and how to construct a pit to avoid contact with the floor," the IATP said. The changes come after three people received serious back injuries after using the foam pit at a trampoline park in Chester, England.
