Telemundo's broadcast of last Sunday's Mexico-Germany match brought in an average of 7.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched event in the network's history. While overall viewership for the event is averaging 1.87 million -- down 43% compared with Univision's 2014 broadcasts -- the network is continuing to set its sights on boosting its competitiveness, with broadcaster Andres Cantor saying, "[W]e're going to have a lot of people that don't know Telemundo that will now get to see us."
