JMJ Development, a Dallas-based real estate firm, has drawn plans for a 14-story, 300-room Hard Rock Hotel to sit atop the four-story, 131-year-old Joske's building at the Shops at Rivercenter in San Antonio. A proposed 23-story hotel tower on the same site was nixed in 2013 over concerns about the ambiance around the historic Alamo Mission.
Mount Airy Casino Resort has been approved for an extension to submit plans for a mini-casino to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The new deadline to select a location and propose a building plan is Oct. 12.
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. has approved a provisional gaming license for Landing International Development. The company will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Aug. 7 and anticipates opening in 2022.
