A history-minded Brooklyn design and development group blended tradition with contemporary flair in its refurbishment of the 12-room Brentwood Hotel across the road from the Saratoga Race Course in New York. "This one clearly wasn't architecturally significant, in the sense that it was a run-down motel, but its proximity to the country's oldest sporting venue, Saratoga Race Course, seemed irreplaceable," Studio Tack partner Jou-Yie Chou said.
