Alibaba's data insights have allowed Mars Inc. and Unilever to launch new products in China -- a spicy Snickers bar and a pollution-cleansing cosmetics line, respectively -- by tracking consumer data and finding gaps in the marketplace. "This is not a level of consumer insight we can get anywhere else because it does not exist anywhere else," said Ian Burton, China president of Mars Wrigley Confectionery.
