The unemployment rate held steady at 3.7% last month, with nonfarm payrolls growing by 155,000, according to the Labor Department, compared with economists' projection of 198,000. Monthly earnings increased 0.2%, compared with a projection of 0.3%, and the average workweek shrank 0.1 hour to 34.4 hours.
