Sears booked a 4.3% same-store sales increase in the third quarter, after years of quarterly losses, as liquidation sales at stores set to close gave the business a boost. The retailer also reported $1.9 billion in losses in the nine-month period ending Nov. 3, more than three times the losses it reported in the same period last year.
