Nintendo, which is forecasting 18 million Switch shipments for 2019, has now sold 34.74 million Switch consoles, moving it past the Nintendo 64's 32.93 million lifetime units. Also, Nintendo reported an 86.7% increase in software sales such as "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate," "Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu!," "Pokemon Let's Go, Eevee!," "Super Mario Party" and "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe."
Google is prepared to expand its smart home lineup, which could include Google Assistant Connect, the Lenovo Smart Clock and a Nest Hub Max, writes Andrew Gebhart. Google is expected to update its Android mobile software and possibly release new augmented reality gadgets at its developer conference beginning May 7.
Google's new midrange Pixel 3a and 3a XL devices will include a notch-free device with a basic design, a rear fingerprint reader and a lone rear camera, Evan Blass writes. The devices will include Snapdragon 670 or 710 processors, 4 gigabytes of RAM and the Pixel Visual Core that powers the cameras, Blass writes.
Microsoft has changed course and will keep its popular Paint application in Windows 10. Most of the primary Paint functions had been slated to move to the Paint 3D app, but it's not clear if Microsoft will still make those changes.
