Personal data of about 4.9 million people who use or do business with food-delivery service DoorDash was compromised through a third-party vendor. The data belonged to merchants, workers and customers and may have included driver's license information, passwords and partial credit card numbers, though the breach primarily affected those who signed up before April 5, 2018.

The We Co., parent of co-working space company WeWork, has postponed its initial public offering and is expected to announce layoffs as it focuses on its core business. Co-founder Adam Neumann stepped down from the CEO role last week and was replaced by co-CEOs Artie Minson and Sebastian Gunningham, who released a statement saying they "look forward to revisiting the public equity markets in the future."

Stewart and Lynda Resnick have pledged $750 million to the California Institute of Technology to find new solutions for addressing environmental issues such as water and sustainability. "In order to comprehensively manage the climate crisis, we need breakthrough innovations, the kind that will only be possible through significant investment in university research," says Stewart Resnick.

Stewart and Lynda Resnick, billionaires who own the Wonderful Company, will donate $750 million to the Caltech to study ways to stem climate change. Caltech will use the money to build a research center and support a myriad of projects including those on recycling and other environmental processes, says President Thomas Rosenbaum.

Technology used by Apple in iPhone models starting with version 5 was taken without permission from Caltech, the school alleges. The university is suing the tech giant, as well as chipmaker Broadcom, on grounds that advanced Wi-Fi chips used to improve data speed use technology patented by the school.
