The travel industry is starting to embrace the "momcation" concept -- mothers going on solo vacations to relax, recharge or explore -- with yoga and spa retreats and various tour groups aimed at individual travelers. Yatin Patel of Reservations.com points out that moms who travel alone often splurge on trips that would be hard to do with a family, and Kris Ruby of Ruby Media Group says hotels that really want to entice more solo travelers "should create pricing packages that do not force them into paying double occupancy rates."
