The coronavirus pandemic forced grocers and shoppers to adapt quickly to a new reality, as well as to measures put in place to slow the spread of the disease, which have included mandatory face masks, store capacity limits and plexiglass guards at checkout. While some of the changes will eventually fade away, trends such as touchless payment, local sourcing and online grocery services could be here for good.
