During the final week of April, online food sales surged 86% while online consumer packaged goods sales jumped 60% and in-store CPG sales rose 20%, according to data from Nielsen. In the week ending April 25, Nielsen said hand sanitizer saw the highest in-store week-over-week growth, followed by oat milk, fresh meat alternatives and baking powder, with frozen food and meat coming in first and second, respectively, for in-store growth.
