Chicago Public Schools resumed its meal distribution program Tuesday after a one-day suspension following protests in the city of the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer. The move to stop serving school meals sparked backlash on social media, and the meals -- which Chicago schools' chief, Janice Jackson, called a "critical community resource" -- then were reinstated.
