Strong Halloween candy sales indicate consumers are committed to celebrating the holiday as it represents a much-needed bright spot for children and adults this year, said Paul Chibe, CEO of Ferrero North America. Parents are getting creative by planning candy scavenger hunts and trick-or-treating by room in their own home, among other ideas, said Christopher Gindlesperger, senior vice president of public affairs for the National Confectioners Association.
