Raytheon Technologies will begin initial low-rate production of the Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band for the US Navy following recent Milestone C completion. The mid-band pod will replace the ALQ-99 jamming pod aboard EA-18 Growler, and L3Harris Technologies is developing the low-band pod for the system.

The US Air Force has extended a contract with Boeing to provide engineering services for the B-1 Lancer and B-52H Stratofortress. The two-year contract modification is valued at $400 million.

Northrop Grumman has unveiled a photo of its design for the US Navy's Next Generation Jammer-Low Band system. L3Harris is also competing for this contract.

The U.S. Export-Import Bank helped Arizona complete business deals totaling $496 million last year, writes AIA President and CEO David F. Melcher. "The aerospace industry is greatly dependent upon Ex-Im financing to allow American manufacturers of commercial, general aviation and business airplanes, helicopters, satellites, spacecraft and launch vehicles to sell our goods abroad and help maintain and expand the largest positive trade balance of any sector in the U.S. economy," he writes. "And for every major aerospace product sold abroad, thousands of medium and small supply-chain companies throughout the country also benefit."

Louisiana is issuing general-obligation debt worth $496 million to help fund the construction of the Morganza to the Gulf levee system and other flood-protection projects. "The restoration and maintenance of our coastline and major waterways is critical for our state's economic future," state Division of Administration Commissioner Kristy Nichols said in a statement.
