Coca-Cola will increase product development by 40% this year compared to 2020 when projects were scaled back to meet pandemic-related demand, said CEO James Quincey. The company is focusing on "purposeful big bets" for existing brands such as a reboot of last year's Coke Energy and 11 "intelligent, focused" new products for 2021, he added.
