Pent-up demand for dining out and the popularity of a new virtual concept called It's Just Wings helped drive Chili's same-store sales close to pre-pandemic levels in January, parent Brinker International said. The company is considering a brick-and-mortar version of It's Just Wings and will also test a digital dine-in feature, which would include tabletop devices that recognize patrons who have ordered by smartphone in advance.
