Manufacturers of engine parts face a daunting transition to electric vehicles while continuing to produce parts for internal combustion engines, experts say. "Engine parts makers are ground zero for the most amount of pain in this transition because they have the least amount of portability into the EV world," said Mark Wakefield of AlixPartners' automotive and industrial practice.
