    Lululemon's marketing efforts include getting to know the fitness and yoga players in advance of opening in new markets, creating brand ambassadors for the retailer's yoga and workout apparel.   • Sears starts grocery-delivery service
    Sears has decided to venture into grocery-delivery service. The company began deliveries in Manhattan and the Hamptons on Memorial Day, and it plans to expand to Chicago and other locations later this summer. An extension of Sears' online shopping site, MyGofer, the service delivers groceries, prescriptions, electronics and more from the company's Kmart stores.   • Banking chairs: Swipe fee amendment will make it to final bill
    An amendment designed to limit the amount banks can charge on debit-card transactions may be tweaked, but it will remain in the final version of the bill, the chairmen of the House and Senate Banking Committees said this week. The National Retail Federation supports the change. "It does not cost dollars to process a quick swipe transaction," said Senior Vice President and General Counsel Mallory Duncan. "Frankly, it can be done for a penny. A debit card is essentially a plastic check and for years checks (have) passed at face value."   • After two-month shopping spree, consumers hold back in May, according to NRF
    According to the National Retail Federation, May retail industry sales (which exclude automobiles, gas stations, and restaurants) decreased 1.4% seasonally adjusted over April and increased 2.7% unadjusted year-over-year. "May retail sales results represent a reminder of the uncertainly that still exists in the economy," said NRF President and CEO Matt Shay.   • Retail container traffic to be up 15% in June
    Import cargo volume at the nation's major retail container ports is expected to be up 15% in June compared with the same month a year ago, and double-digit increases should continue into the fall as the U.S. economy recovers, according to the monthly Global Port Tracker report released today by NRF and Hackett Associates.   • Arby's rolls out upgraded truck with mobile kitchen
    Arby's has upgraded its mobile kitchen truck to include a larger cooking space and interactive experiences for customers. The truck's kitchen can produce 500 to 600 sandwiches an hour, and the trailer features a Wii gaming system, photo booth and putting game. "People want to be entertained and engaged.
