Zona Roofing has pleaded guilty to violating OSHA fall-protection standards in a case involving the 2019 fatal fall of an employee replacing a residential roof in Haledon, N.J. The plea agreement calls for the company to receive a sentence of five years of probation, pay $75,000 in restitution to the employee's family, train employees and improve safety measures.
The Federal Aviation Administration has given Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport a $5.1 million grant to replace the aging roof of Concourse D. The contract has been awarded to L. Marshall Roofing & Sheet Metal, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of next year without disruption to travelers or concourse tenants.
