Diversey's Gundogdu writes about company's sustainability efforts

In the past decade, Diversey's various sustainability efforts have led to a 32% decline in its plastic waste, along with a 24% drop in greenhouse emissions, writes president Somer Gundogdu. Contributing to its sustainability ambitions is the company's Soap for Hope program, which since 2013 has gathered 4,188.78 tons of soap waste from partner hotels to make almost 32 million soap bars, he says.

Bain Capital is in exclusive talks to acquire Sealed Air's cleaning and chemicals systems unit, Diversey Care, for between $3 billion and $4 billion, and a deal could be announced before the end of the month. If the deal falls through, sources say Sealed Air would spin off Diversey.
