The FDA said it is extending the deadline for food manufacturers to revise nutrition labels, giving an extra 18 months to manufacturers with $10 million or more in annual food sales and an additional 30 months to manufacturers with less than $10 million in annual food sales. The label changes involve new requirements for nutrition facts, supplement facts and serving sizes on packaged foods, and the new dates are Jan. 1, 2020, and Jan. 1, 2021, respectively.
