Norway's sovereign wealth fund targets emissions goals

Norway's sovereign wealth fund is updating its sustainability strategy so it aligns with the carbon neutrality objectives of the Paris Agreement, as well as other regulations surrounding carbon emissions, according to Mie Holstad of Norges Bank Investment Management. "As a fund, it's clearly in our interest that the goals in the Paris Agreement are reached," Chief Corporate Governance Officer Carine Smith Ihenacho said.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is considering reallocating investments in its commercial real estate portfolio in light of the pandemic's effect on some of its holdings, including office and retail properties, according to sources. One source noted that the sovereign wealth fund's China logistics investments made through a partnership with Prologis performed well and that ADIA may increase its exposure to warehouses as well as life sciences assets, affordable housing and technology hubs.
