Hospital CEO: Make the choice to get a COVID-19 vaccine
Since July 12, the number of COVID-19 patients at St. Luke's 12 hospitals has risen from three to 91, and 94% of those new patients have not been vaccinated, writes St. Luke's University Health Network President and CEO Richard Anderson. It is only through vaccination that life can return to normal, Anderson writes, but more than 90% of hospitalized COVID-19 patients have chosen not to seek vaccination despite the vaccines' proven safety and efficacy, and Anderson urges anyone who has made that choice to reconsider "for your own sake and that of others."
