I edit nonprofit sector newsletters for SmartBrief and co-manage the SBLeaders Twitter account.  

As you saw, the song I shared today is by an actor who appears in "Atypical" (among other shows). Have you watched the show? I thought it did an incredible job of portraying one angle on the experience of having autism, as well as all of the family dynamics involved.

To bring things full circle from today's lead story, it took me a few episodes to accept Jennifer Jason Leigh as the mom figure. She's two years older than I am, but she's still locked in my memory banks as Stacy in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High." One of my "I must not be THAT young anymore" moments.

Sound Transit light-rail tunnel finished on time

Atkinson Construction has finished a 1,985-foot-long Sound Transit tunnel in downtown Bellevue, Wash., on time despite pandemic-induced delays. A sequential approach allowed the contractor to complete excavation five months early, and the next phase of work will be installing track with help from Stacy and Witbeck.
