Kroger adds 50+ items to plant-based private-label line
Kroger has expanded its in-house plant-based Simple Truth collection by more than 50 items as the brand's sales surpassed $2.5 billion last year, according to Kroger's chief merchant Stuart Aitken. New offerings include alt-dairy cheese shreds, oat milk ice cream, a line of plant-based ground chicken called Emerge Chick'n, ready-to-eat brownie batter and salad dressings.
