GlobalFoundries CEO Tom Caulfield says the company will spend $1.4 billion this year on expanding its production capacity, as a worldwide shortage of crucial components continues. GF may budget $2.8 billion or more for capital expenditures in 2022, Caulfield said, adding, "Right now all our fabs are not only more than 100% utilized, we are adding capacity as fast as we can."
