IAB slates Podcast Upfront for mid-May

IAB's annual Podcast Upfront will be shifted this year from its typical fall dates to May 11 to 13 to follow its NewFronts and will include a broad range of major media players and podcasting arms such as ESPN, iHeartMedia, NPR, Pandora, Stitcher and ViacomCBS. "Podcasting is a space where advertisers can utilize trusted content in a very purposeful way," Eric John, vice president of the IAB's media center, said in a statement. "Whether for branding or performance, advertisers are leveraging the intimate -- and highly engaged -- relationship podcast creators and hosts have with their listeners," said John.
