Doneux discusses innovation, outreach and MS4 awards

Last year, the Water Environment Federation Stormwater Institute named the Capitol Region Watershed District as one of the overall winners of the 2020 National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards. With the nomination period for the 2021 National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards open now, Mark Doneux, CRWD administrator, joined the Words on Water podcast to discuss the organization's recent projects and forward-looking perspectives on stormwater management.

2020 MS4 survey highlights stormwater funding needs

Last year, more than 800 US Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System program permittees shared information about the challenges facing their organizations and the resources they need to surmount them as part of the Water Environment Federation Stormwater Institute's second MS4 Needs Assessment Survey. Results from the 2020 survey, released in February, indicate an annual estimated funding gap of approximately $8.5 billion for US MS4 permittees.
