Amy Fousek is currently a technology and innovation coach with Poway Unified School District, where she provides on-site coaching and professional development on innovative instructional practices and blended learning. She is a CORE certified trainer and a member of Education Reimagined. Fousek has presented at several regional and national conferences, including Teach to Lead, ASU GSV, SDCUE, SDCOE, ISTE and ASCD. She helped open Design39Campus, a learner-centered design thinking school in Poway Unified that was featured on Edutopia. With more than 15 years of classroom experience and delivering professional development, Fousek is passionate about leveraging technology to redefine student learning and building teacher capacity.
Brenda Gillies has been an educator for 20 years, previously as a classroom teacher and currently as a technology and innovation coach in Poway Unified School District. She helped open Design39Campus, a learner-centered design thinking school in Poway Unified. She leads several district workshops and has presented at San Diego County Office of Education, San Diego CUE and Fall CUE. She is passionate about using technology to personalize learning experiences for students, and supporting teachers as lifelong learners.
Jennifer Burks is the associate superintendent of technology and innovation for the Poway Unified School District and was recently named California's ACSA Technology Administrator of the Year. She has a passion for utilizing technology as a transformative tool and a willingness to disrupt outmoded thinking to develop new opportunities of learning. Burks received her doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from USC and is frequently asked to serve on educational leadership speaking panels, such as ISTE, FETC, CSBA and a USC Leadership Symposium. She serves on the Digital Promise Equity Coalition, the Urban Education Committee and the Educational Leadership Institute, as well as the CoSN Driving K-12 Innovation Advisory Board.
