Danna Diaz has spent more than 30 years in public education across five states, including 28 years as an administrator. She has also served on the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALA) board and is a member of Leading Now. She is the author of "Servant Leadership: My Journey from Teacher to Superintendent." Abie Quiñones-Benítez is a retired school and district leader who served in New Haven Public Schools and as Director of Schools in the School District of Lancaster, Pa., overseeing culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Originally from Puerto Rico, she holds a doctorate from UConn, has been recognized by the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the Puerto Rican legislature, and is the founding past president of the Connecticut Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (CALAS). Margarita Amy is a dedicated education professional with 25 years of experience as a leader and teacher in schools and districts in Puerto Rico and Massachusetts in both the private and public sectors. Her expertise is in strategic leadership, dual language education, consulting, and transformative initiatives in Puerto Rico's education system and the Massachusetts Department of Education. She serves as Special Assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Education in Puerto Rico, focusing on decentralizing processes under a unified system and other academic transformation projects. She also leads the Transformative Caribe Group to support sustainable school improvement efforts in Puerto Rico and the US. Vanessa Carlo-Miranda is a strategic leader in the education sector with over 17 years of experience in school, district and state-level education systems. She is the founding executive director of the Partnership for DC School Excellence (PDCS). She has previously worked as an expert and consultant for the Department of Education, supporting the decentralization efforts of the Puerto Rico Department of Education (PRDE). Vanessa is passionate about improving educational outcomes and has led initiatives in public charter school facilities, federal grants management and legal support during her tenure at the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). She was born and raised in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
