Bill nixes bag rescreening on some international flights
The House on Wednesday passed the No-Hassle Flying Act, which will let the Transportation Security Administration waive luggage rescreening rules when the bags come from international airports that adopt U.S.-equivalent baggage scanning protocol. The bill will move on to President Barack Obama for his signature. "This is a smart, efficient way to streamline travel, boost tourism and lower costs while maintaining the highest security standards," said Nicholas E. Calio, president and chief executive of Airlines for America.
