PRP linked to benefits for patients with knee osteoarthritis
Platelet-rich plasma therapy improved pain and function scores for patients with knee osteoarthritis one year after the treatment, according to findings published in the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine. The condition did not progress in 73% of cases. The study used magnetic resonance imaging and other evaluation tools to assess PRP results.
