Better DME outcomes seen with intravitreal pegaptanib therapy
Intravitreal pegaptanib sodium treatment correlated with significant improvements in foveal thickness in diabetes patients with clinically significant macular edema, a study found. Researchers also noted enhanced macular sensitivity, color discrimination and best-corrected visual acuity in patients. The results appear in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology.
