Szabo: Rail to get most focus in DOT's FY2014 budget
Rail will be "the feature" of the Transportation Department's $77 billion spending plan for fiscal 2014 as $11.6 billion will be go to the Federal Railroad Administration, said FRA Administrator Joseph Szabo. "The administration understands the growing role that freight rail will have to play in meeting future transportation needs," said Szabo. "This will allow for investment in projects that have public benefit, like the Heartland Corridor or Crescent Corridor."
