Seattle's Best will further distinguish itself from corporate parent Starbucks with an expansion plan that centers on opening thousands of small, drive-thru only coffee shops in suburban areas, aimed at serving busy consumers who don't have time to linger in a cafe. Many Seattle's Best shops closed along with Borders bookstores last year, leaving about 100 locations.
