Study: For weight loss, running beats walking
Male and female runners spent more energy and attained greater weight loss compared with their counterparts who chose walking, a study in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise revealed. Running was also associated with minimal age-related weight gain in both sexes, while walking helped prevent age-related weight gain in women.
