Wellness programs should use risk management, expert says
Effective wellness programs go beyond providing health information to employees in hopes they will change unhealthy behaviors and instead engage in more effective health risk management, said Sam Fleet, president of AmWINS Group Benefits. He recommended using health risk assessments coupled with financial incentives but said wellness goals should be attainable and employees should be given support.
