The Pentagon supports Lockheed Martin's choice of chief executive, Marillyn Hewson, and wants Lockheed to stay focused on keeping the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jet program on schedule, the company said Monday. Hewson said the company would "meet our commitments this year on delivering the aircraft that we committed to ... so we'll continue to be very much engaged and we won't miss a beat on F-35."
