The Mars Odyssey orbiter has switched to a backup set of systems and is back on the job, NASA has announced. The switch to the orbiter's "B" computer system was made because the Odyssey's "A" system was nearing the end of its life and NASA wanted to preserve some of its usefulness in case a backup was needed.
