EIA: U.S. oil production continues to hit highs not seen in decades
U.S. daily oil production rose 1.6% to 7.745 million barrels in the week that ended Sept. 6, spurred by technological advancements in drilling such as hydraulic fracturing, according to the Energy Information Administration. This is the highest level for such output since May 1989, EIA said.
