MightyText developers Maneesh Arora and Amit Sangani built an "open, cross-platform equivalent of iMessage" that syncs with Android so nearly any device can interact via texting, Rip Empson writes. The application has crossed the million-user milestone and a tablet version of the app is being tested. MightyText is also rolling out PowerView, which "allows users to view all of their open SMS threads in one screen so that they don't have to switch between conversation tabs or to their inbox," Empson writes.
