Water infrastructure bill gets House T&I approval
After a quick committee markup session, the Water Resources Reform and Development bill won unanimous approval from the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. The legislation would authorize funding for water infrastructure projects across the country. The bill "cuts red tape, reforms the bureaucracy, and accelerates project delivery. It sets hard deadlines on the time and cost of studies," said Chairman Bill Shuster, R-Pa. "This bill is about strengthening our infrastructure so we can remain competitive. It's about economic growth. It's about jobs."
