Plan will create 17 "Solar Energy Zones" in 6 states
A proposal to create 17 "Solar Energy Zones" in six states was approved by the Obama administration last week as part of its goal of expanding domestic energy production. The 17 zones span 285,000 acres of land in the Western states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.
