Philadelphia area needs at least $49B for transportation infrastructure
The Philadelphia region needs about $2.5 billion a year to maintain its transportation infrastructure, based on a report of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. The report included funding scenarios tagged as low, medium, and high, with capital spending on the low end needing to be about $48.7 billion from 2014 to 2040.
