$2.5B gasification plant project in La. will create 1,500 jobs
Construction of the first gasification plant in the U.S. will create 1,500 jobs in Louisiana now that the Port of Lake Charles has approved a 25-year operating agreement with the Leucadia Corp. Work on the $2.5 billion plant is expected to begin by mid-2013 and be completed in three years.
