Image Wisely, ASNC and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) Technologist Section have created online educational materials to help providers use the lowest radiopharmaceutical dose necessary to perform nuclear medicine exams. The American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America formed the Joint Task Force on Adult Radiation Protection to address concerns about the surge of public exposure to ionizing radiation from medical imaging.
